ich habe in einem Textfeld jeweils versucht zwei Links einzubinden, welche auf eine Mailadresse und einem facebook-verweisen. Da ganze mit einem eigebautem Icon. Nun sagt mir der Validatortest, des ich dieses Attribut nicht in diesem Content verwenden kann.

Erkennt jemand den Fehler?

Der Code ist nicht gerade das gelbe vom Ei, aber seis drum.

Das Attribut i gibt es nicht.

Als, zugegeben, jemand, der sich gerade herantastet, sehe ich grad keinen Weg auf meiner Wissenbasis, wie ich nun korrekt ein Icon an dieser Stelle einbinden kann.
Ich versuche mich in die Materie einzuarbeiten, daher frage ich lieber nicht nach einem korrekten Lösungsansatz, oder?

Das was du als Icon bezeichnest ist für HTML ein Bild also Image.
Davon gibt es exakt 2.
Bilder die im HTML als Bilder definiert sind über das Element img und Hintergrundbilder, die im CSS hinterlegt sind, als background-image.

Da du dort nur eine Klasse im Anker-Element hast, muss du uns noch das CSS zeigen das diese Klasse bestimmt um mehr sagen zu können, denn sonst sähe es mit Bild so aus
